Mason City beat Waverly 14-0 and is 1-1 on the season. According to Waverly's quick stats, they won 49-14. And seeing as the state has Mason at 0-2, I'm guessing that Waverly's score is the correct one?

No idea where that 14-0 came from. Apparently somebody adding to Mason City's QuikStats thinks they're funny or the most uninformed person associated with them. If I remember correctly, Mason City fumbled or muffed the opening kickoff and Waverly-Shell Rock was ahead 7-0 within the first minute. Like most people have said in the past, take QuikStats with a grain of salt, there's a lot of stat padding going on.
