Huge game in 3A- North Scott-- Western Dubuque. Anybody got a score? Also Solon- Assumption is a big one.

Dubuque Wahlert 41, Clinton 0, late in 3rd..
Western Dubuque 14, North Scott 3 in 4th as score just came in from W. D. North Scott is a very tough team.

Heelan is back. Made the changes that needed to be made. Sergeant Bluff will get embarrassed. They struggled against a terrible Boyden-Hull team that was 0-3.

LeMars 62, Sioux City North 13
Decorah 37, Crestwood 6
Dallas Center Grimes 28, Glenwood 9

that is huge

Solon 17, Davenport Assumption 13. Figured that one might be close, as Assumption is very talented.
CR Xavier 28, West Delaware 12
Independence 42, CPU 0
East Waterloo 41, Newton 13
Western Dubuque 21, North Scott 3
Carlisle 42, Pella 36..

It's a little early, I can't disagree with your pics. Denison pounded a couple of 4A schools in back to back weeks.

western dubuque was my favorite to win it all, since heelan seems down this year.....i still have not changed my mind

Do not sleep on Heelan. Hearing team meeting after going 0-3 and now everyone is refocused and that was proven with the dominance displayed last night.

sort of a shocker...beating west by 20 more than east...the teams heelan has lost too this year...all got very good records, better than average teams

The first three teams Heelan played are now a combined 10-2. Friday night's opponent is now 0-4 and has been crushed in three of those games. That probably had way more to do with it than any team meeting did...

Losing the first three games is bad for sure but do not be surprised if the boys end up 6-3 or 5-4. The real season starts this week

That what happens when you fake a punt up 40 and call time out to kick a field goal up 55. Suppose not scoring in two straight games can make you classless.

Not true. 2nd and 3rd team scored. Not much you can do when you are running the ball up the middle. Funny how a 3-1 average team thinks they are all world. Friday night we will see who has the last laugh

carlisle is sort of a surprise this year, playing a very good lewis central team very close, at least the score..

Any idea if that was self reported or if West Liberty called it out.

I know this happened a few years ago with ADM vs Ballard. The Ballard coaches noticed it a day or two later and reported it. This was a situation where the ADM coaches werent keeping tabs in play time and Ballard's coaches were holding a grudge from a year or two earlier when ADM ran up the score in them.

Washington was forced to forfeit their game with West Liberty from last Friday. They played an ineligible player for two plays. So the Demons are now 3-1 with all the consequent changes to RPIs.

According to what I saw, Washington self-reported. The kid got in, played two plays, and when somebody on the Washington staff realized he was in, they called time out and pulled him (why somebody ineligible to play was suited up on the sideline is a puzzler ... unless maybe it was a sophomore/playing time deal).

Forecast calling for rain. This is great for Heelan to slow down SBL passing game. Load the box and see if they can run the ball.
good luck to heelan, i still think they will have their hands full..harlan lost to sbl by 20, harlan made some very costly mistakes in that one, including a 80 yd kick off return....there was only 50 yds difference in the game, favoring sbl.. sbl won, and that is what matters

No disrespect but unless Heelan has had a major transformation they won"t get anywhere near SBL. I'm pulling for Heelan because many of my friends kids go there, but let's be real. SBL lost to LC because they had multiple drops from their receivers. I would say this one is over early, I hope I'm wrong.

SBL is not a good football team. Heelan outplayed them and lost in 4th qtr. Neither Heelan or SBL are playoff teams both bad teams that would be 3-6 or 4-5 in 1A football.

Outplayed but won by two touchdowns and last I heard games are four quarters long when you get beat in fourth quarter 22-0 you still lose.
Good news though you won’t have to watch your 1-4 team get drilled in the playoffs just don’t get last in the district.

Well -I'm hoping the northwest part of Iowa rallies, always has tremendous athletes. I do disagree with you about SBL- they seem to be putting it together in that town from where I sit. Track, Hoops, football, they have been making more noise than anyone else.
