Wahlert had only twelve sophs (who will be juniors next year) and a 2-7 varsity team (1-8 the year before). and somebody has them ranked in the top ten (just because they are a Catholic school?) Get real. All private schools are definitely not remotely equal in football. They have some huge kids.... only, they are playing basketball, not football. They get beat by Xavier by about an average of 55-6 every year, just like the other schools.

I'm right there with ya. Wahlert will hopefully be more successful in 3A than in 4A, but top ten? Heck, they'll have a struggle even making the playoffs in their district. They didn't even field a freshman team last year, because the only way they could play the sophomore schedule was by putting all the freshmen on the sophomore team (which I guess is like JV, so they were just prepping for 3A a year early).

As for the Xavier comparison, Wahlert lost to Xavier 17-10 in 2008. Since then they've played three times - and Xavier has outscored them 122-14.
