Its not a surprise that Van Buren was a little overmatched last night and during their season but what a fun bunch of guys. Regina pulled their starters with 3:30 to go in the first quarter. The Van Buren team continued to play hard and compete, hitting a long TD pass in the fourth. During and after the game they had fun, coming off the field I heard 'we scored against Regina' from several and 'I got to shake Marv Cooks hand', both sides had fun during the game and after, a couple of Van Buren kids even broke down the Regina post game huddle and complimented the Regina team on how they played in comparison to some of the other teams they have played. It was fun to watch both teams and how they handled the game.

All you've got to do is look at the stats to see how a team in Regina's position should handle a game like that.
4 kids completed a pass, 13 different kids got to carry the ball. 6 kids caught a pass, 9 different kids scored a point. 18 different kids had a tackle.
That is how a well coached team approaches a game that isn't close.
