Cedar Falls 55, Iowa City West 54, as A.J. Green (best guard in Iowa IMHO) scores 36. Patrick McCaffery 17 including a 3 at the buzzer. A little bit of an upset, but the top of the MVC is very strong.

#1 4A ICW loses to Cedar Falls 55-54. McCaffrey 3 at the buzzer made it a 1 point win. AJ Green solidified he's the best in the MVC scoring 36.

Davenport North over #9 CR Prairie 51-48... This helps avenge North Scott's only loss to CRP. Giving the MAC potentially a little more respect in the rankings.

CR Jefferson beat Davenport Central despite Nathan Tyson scoring 32 for Central.

North Linn 84 Iowa City Liberty 54... Might be off a little on the score but significant point. It was the first game North Linn didn't get continuous clock. Still made it look easy.

Mt Pleasant did not shoot well although they came back from 9 down and almost won it...Wash did not hardly miss all night. They shot extremely well. hit shot at buzzer to win. MP had 4 games in 7 days and I thought MP looked tired.

Saw a tweet from Roe that Xavier won 57-56. That’s a really nice road win. Be interested to see the scoring in that one.

In the CR Xavier win over a good Hempstead team, the Saints got off to a huge lead in the first quarter and then Hempstead kept fighting back the rest of the game, falling short by one on their home court. The big difference? Xavier's two-headed monster of Matt Mims and Jackson Joens went off for a combined 9 three-pointers!

The ADM vs DCG score is wrong, should be flipped ADM 53 - DCG 46. DCG really struggling here after the break.

What happened here you ask...I can tell you, the MVC is very difficult top to bottom. CR Wash is 1-6 in the MVC and wins at #3 Mt Pleasant. Look at what happened this weekend. Dubuque Wahlert is 2-5 in the MVC, the beat Class 3A #1 ranked Oskaloosa. Their is a large gap between Class 3A and 4A.

This seemingly gets mentioned every year. I haven't seen enough 4A teams play to know if it's true or not, but...given the disparity in enrollments, isn't there a problem if this ISN'T the case?

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but if they have trouble with 4 games in 7 days they just may struggle with 3 games in 4 days if they get to state again this year. Can't use that as a crutch to lean on.

They actually played 6 games in 11 days, with two sets of back to back (5/6 and 12/13). They won the 1st five of those games, only losing to CR W by 2.

Thanks SSG, just checked that out. Quite a few blowouts for MP this year. I also was interested because I read an article about Solon on yourprepsports.com and it mentioned they have 4 or 5 games in 8 days, which is rough, don't get me wrong. But I don't like it when it is used as an excuse for not playing well. All teams go through rough patches in their schedule. It builds character as my pop used to say
