I'll be reporting on the two teams that played for the 4A championship last season, Cedar Falls at Dubuque Senior. Senior is 8-0 in the conference divisional standing this year and Cedar Falls has one loss. Should be a great game. Senior is 43-2 for their varsity, sophs and freshmen boys in the rugged MVC so far this year, which shows the strength of their programs. Cedar Falls is the much taller team, and Senior is down one starter, their point guard Medinger, who is injured. Should be a tight defensive battle, with lots of blocks and steals..
End of 1st: Senior 9, Cedar Falls 6.
Half- Cedar Falls 24, Senior 22.
3Q- Senior 36, Cedar Falls 35 in a barn-burner; Rams in serious foul trouble, however. CF hitting big threes in the 4th.
Cedar Falls finishes strong with threes and free throws, Cedar Falls 57, Senior 52. CF played very well, ending Senior's ten game win streak.
