The One Loss Lounge for an early breakfast seems….better

Definitely the officiating was rigged. Longhorn network mu$t’ve been wining and dining them all week long.
I was driving and listed to about half the game on sat radio. They had the longhorn network for that one and I thought those dudes were gonna cry. The two UGA interceptions were the highlight of their night. 🤣

Yeah it was typical home cooking stuff. Kirby was PISSED. Made some comments after the game that are likely gonna get him fined.

Still trying to figure out how they reversed a non reviewable pass interference call. And Texas didn’t t even try to block us in the second half. They grabbed hold and held on. Somebody must have called down to the officials locker room at halftime and told them the score was getting out of hand and to do something about it. Didn’t help that that drunk Sark cried to officials after every play

That TE1 no TD call was straight bullshit.

I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve seen a game ever with worse officiating. And the referee, who lives in Texas, owns a business in Texas and has a son that attends UT should probably not be allowed to officiate a UT game….Jes saying
Seeing that. Lots of fans of other schools, even rivals, calling out the blatant rigging. Kirby just found his fuel for the rest of the season.

Bammer played against something similar in the past but can’t remember the details.

Refs weren’t very good in Knoxville, but you can’t blame the refs when your QB is an actual real life potato and your team has no discipline or poise.

Sad but you are posting facts.

I felt like the 2022 game in Knoxville was the biggest highway robbery I believe I've witnessed by an officiating crew. That was the most blatantly one sided game I can remember. I was sick after that

Yesterday it's easy to nitpick on one or two calls that went against UA or UT, but that was just two meh teams seeing which QB could fvck it up the most.

Did we at least treat you ok?

Sorry I couldn’t work Saturday in…my girl has her junior black belt and won her tournament Saturday morning. She’s wants to work on adult belts. She’s a bad ass

Edit: she was there next to me in section S. She hates bammers and booed when they came on the field.

No worries, I honestly would’ve backed out had one of the people with us not been so excited about going.

Had a real good time other than the obvious. Tailgated at G10, obviously in a massive sea of orange, but was with two guys I know that played at UT and the people welcomed the 3 bammers in the group.

Didn’t go to game- I’ve been to Neyland several times, and Mrs. Pops didn’t seem terribly thrilled to go, so I saved that $500 and spent a portion of it on game food and booze at Calhoun’s. Staff and UT fans surrounding us were incredible.

It was weird, and maybe it’s because I was a young, cocky dipshit last time I went (2010ish), but there was almost no shit talk amongst the fans. I think maybe because nobody really knew what to expect. Other than one drunk asshole (like you’d see at any SEC school), it was a great time.

I honestly think crap like this is one of the reasons Saban isn't coaching anymore, not the other way around. Bama's team had all kinds of discipline issues the past couple years. 2021/2022/2023 were all a couple plays away from NCs and a couple plays away from 7-5.
Perhaps, I also think discipline is a significant challenge for teams loaded with 5 & 4 star talent who have been coddled for years, maybe had some family dysfunction and with NIL money in the mix, it’s a recipe for behavior volatility. One can see why Saban would want out, I’ll be interested to see how long Ferentz will stay at Iowa. Although we don’t have the 4 & 5 star recruits issue, the other two would apply…probably to a lesser extent.

4 and 5 stars aren’t near the problem the transfer portal is. You have to re-recruit your top players every year or they’ll go elsewhere. It used to be cost prohibitive to leave a team (sit out one season) so the top players had to work hard and behave to please the coaches. Not anymore. The coaches have lost that leverage. THAT was the deal killer for Saban.

You mean…they’re not going to college for an education…since fewer than 2% make it to the NFL?

Seriously?
First of all, the 4 & 5 star players represent a helluva lot more than 2% of the NFL.
Secondly, they’re getting paid to play.
And finally, it doesn’t matter who they play for - the education is there (if they want it.)

I was being sarcastic

No doubt, that statistic (if accurate) is the collegiate division 1 population at large.
Secondly, they’re getting paid to play.
Sadly true…but that was supposed to be the purpose of the “full-ride” scholarship. So much for the value of a college education…until you blow out your ACL.
And finally, it doesn’t matter who they play for - the education is there (if they want it.)
And there’s the rub, “if they want it”.

I just figured out what that smell has been….carnival people….corn dogs….its gone now

They are taking it well
