When we first got married, we lived in Orange Park, Florida, just south of Jacksonville. This was 1983 and Auburn was doing pretty well in football.
My wife is an Alabama graduate but wasn't really into or very aware of all the rivalries in the SEC. Of course northeast Florida is full of Gator and Bulldog fans.
I drove a company truck and she drove my Honda Accord (with an AUBURN decal on the back window) back and forth across the Buckman Bridge to work.
One day she came home really pissed and gave me an earful about that Auburn decal. It seems many of the UGA and UF fans were fond of giving her the finger. I got a large charge out of an Alabama grad being mistaken for an Aubie. My wife not so much.
Tell her I'm sorry, it wasn't her...but that FCKING decal !!!!
Oh, I still catch hell for that when something triggers that memory for her.
Yep... all our guards (except CBM) chose this game to freeze up... Pett actually looked like a True FR; Kelly chipped paint early but finally hit 2 3s; Denver (who has been money all year) picked this game to go blind on the offensive end. Too bad.
My heart said Auburn but my head said UF wins it all. Still up in my bracket as I picked UF over Houston in the final.
Auburn looked gassed the entire second half. Phlorida reminds me of those Nolan Richardson teams at Arkansas. They would just run you to death. But still, Phuck Phlorida

Auburn played well in the 1st half. Florida changed the game in the 2nd and wore Auburn out. Really that simple. If yall could have stuck with a physical game up in the paint I think Auburn might have won it.
Yeah I didn’t see any evidence of that claim. Apparently something went down after the game.
Looked like a sissy fight. Sassy could’ve been in that one and made a good showin!
Reminds me I heard there was a women’s pool championship this weekend and the two finalists were both tranz.
