Bitter over auburns failures?
LOL not at all... just look at the schedules. Auburn has played 6 Quad 1 teams and only lost to Duke... which was allowed to play 8 vs. 5. Hard to beat then at Cameron Indoor when the refs get them to the line 17 more times than us, and they win by 6. No matter. On a neutral court we're going to smoke their asses.

UTenn has just now played a Quad 1 team (UF?) and only a couple of ranked teams. AU beat Houston @ Houston, Iowa State, UNC, Memphis (Maui), Ohio State (ATL), and Purdue (Bham). I don't think its unreasonable to conclude this schedule is far superior to UTenn at this point.

Regarding my other post, it was more flavored for Honk, but yeah…..y’all are rolling and deserve #1 slot…. Not sure how long yall can keep it, but maybe for a while. SEC is going to be a weekly massacre

We shot 20%

That was self inflicted not who we played

Just couldn’t buy a bucket

Not sure we'll keep past Saturday aka meaning: we never had it (since rankings don't come out until Monday). We should handle USC easily but like you said, EVERY SEC road game is going to be a challenge.

Auburn looks very good. That said, ain't nobody finna dominate the SEC this year, especially on the road with the ridiculous home court advantages.
AU has the best team this side of the NBA.
They need to go ahead and start the bronze statues for Broome and Pearl.

I said before the season, this might be Pearl’s best team. You’re certainly in a great place right now
Having 9 SRs... NINE seniors... in the top 2 rotations reveals what can be done with this amount of experience. It is a rare occurrence to have this many SRs on any team, particularly when a couple are likely NBA bound (role players for the most part... Broome & Cardwell). It is so common now for any player that has high skills to be a one-and-done (Flagg/Duke this year for example), and you can't really blame them given they get generational wealth by doing so.

Even though Broome might wind up being the #1 player in the nation, his game isn't going to translate well in today's NBA. MAYBE Orlando since they've (incredibly) started playing TEAM basketball vs. the 1-on-1 GunFrom3point we see everywhere else. The Magic are the only team I take a very limited interest in since my SIL is still fan (he grew up in Otown) and got me to watch them a time or two... they do look like the old 80's teams of Magic, Bird, Jordan, etc...

The LSU game last night was one of our worst, yet beating them @ their place by double digits is a nice bonus. The schedule will catch up to us soon enough... Florida, @Vandy, @Alabama is a tough 3 game stretch mid-Feb. Early March is @KY, @TAMU, and home vs. spuat. No way we run these 6 games... and maybe even lose to @OM. Nothing is easy in this league.
