Assumption girls appeared to be the favorite a few weeks ago. However, didn't see Danielle Moore, Elizabeth Mallon, or Riley Behan in the top ten of their State Qualifying Meet. Does anyone have full results of the meet in Anamosa or any information of why they might not have run?

Thank you. I am surprised with everything that we have today that full results are not released in one location.

There are some full district results here - (including the anamosa results)

Assumption didn't run some of their top girls at the State Qualifying meet on purpose. Talked w/ their coach during the meet, those girls will still run this Saturday. Barring someone gets injured/sick this week

I understand. West Plaines, MO does the same thing all the time (at least when I was there they did). Their district and sectional in Missouri tended not to be terribly difficult for them so they would run an alternate team and then reinsert their Varsity at State. I personally don't like the strategy for high school athletes, but obviously college teams train this way all the time (race every two weeks).

I had heard that someone from Assumption had unfortunately come down with a stress fracture (didn't know which runner). I hope that was incorrect. Should be an outstanding race Saturday.
