Georgia's Young charged with battery, assault
Georgia's Colbie Young was arrested early Tuesday morning on misdemeanor charges of battery and assault of an unborn child, per Athens-Clarke County Jail records.
Starting to sound like Urban's program @ UF...

Read that, sort of made me scratch my head.
They're broken up according to her.
She went to his house to discuss their relationship. When she went to his room, he was talking to another girl.
He asks her to leave his room and when she doesn't, he escorts her out by the arm and then locks his door.
She stays to "collect her belongings."
She takes a phone call from someone else and that's when he tells her to get out. She states that's when he tried to squeeze her belly to possibly kill the unborn child?
I'm not saying that he didn't do it or that he's blameless...but it just doesn't add up given the story as we've heard it.

Same story I’ve heard. He picked her up and tries to get her out. I guess he grabbed her around the waist to lift her and that was the problem.
It does not. But whatever the truth is, no one wants to hear it anymore. It’s an automatic guilty verdict. Suspend him, kick him off the team. That’s who we are now.
So how far along is she reported to be? Interesting he was charged with assault on an unborn child but that girl could abort it and suddenly it’s not a child at all.
Ok but that timeframe would have to be consistent. So if he assaulted it and she aborts it then what is she charged with?
I guess that would depend on what state she aborted… could make for an interesting case study though to see if the charges against him would be dropped if she later aborted…
They very well may be dropped very quickly. I’m not defending him blindly but I agree with our resident 5-0 that it just seems…off.
I agree the charges seem to read worse than the actual report. It’ll be interesting to see what comes of it. Not this dude’s fault necessarily, but these kids don’t really seem to inspire the desire for benefit of the doubt these days.
