I’m watching the game loosely, but my interest level is about a 3/10.
Partly because bammer is at home, mostly because the game has been ruined by NIL/portal bullshit.

Unfortunately the NIL portal crap is not bullsit. In one form or another it’s here to stay.
Or we don’t.
We already had a sport with similar mechanics and rules where the players had ZERO loyalty to the teams they played for, the sport in general and the fans who funded it all.

portability for players isn’t that big an issue. It’s if NIL makes portability in making players mercenaries…. And that’s going to be true early on. But based upon the latest ruling on Title IX, colleges who are dolling out cash will have to comply and even it out amongst the genders…… BUT NIL collectives won’t, since they are independent and not in the university revenue stream
Its going to all even out with respect to NIL at some point, as return on investment won’t justify some the money being spent - so eventually the market will correct. And the teams who have the strongest fan following and/or money bag alums willing to burn $$, will sustain higher NIL flows….. and that generally will be the schools with mass followings …… ie the Blue Bloods of the sport
Chaos now…. But traditional power houses will eventually rise and maintain at the top - unless they have a crappy coach for too long and lose fan base for too long
