…are they, should they be? Will an SEC legacy team with possibly 3 losses make the playoffs and bump a one loss other?

They were going through all of this on Gameday. For Georgia to get in they have to win out. Which would have been true even if they didn’t have the two losses.

Same for Bammer. Short of Texas imploding only one other SEC team will get in realistically. The SEC champ game could work against us if we get in and lose to Texas. Then Georgia could pull a Saban and sneak in the back door.

I didn’t see Gameday (at work 🙄) but I’d be interested in their take on, is the higher ranked BYU going to win vs Bama, Ole Miss or UGA?

They had BYU winning the conference in their hypothetical scenario. They were pretty insistent it wasn’t a prediction but just showing how the playoff could go.

I haven’t seen enough of BYU to judge. They are confident Texas will get in but Georgia and Bama depend on how they both play out. I don’t see how all three SEC teams make it in.

This is a year where the B1G is top heavy while the SEC is more evenly balanced. However I do think Oregon is a pretty solid football team and Ohio St has the potential to be even better. Day sucks imo and that's why they aren't playing to their potential.

The SEC seems to lack a special team this year but the season isn't over yet. If UTx, Bama or UGA hit their stride, they're all capable of beating anyone. I think UTk is right there as well.

Indiana is likely to get beat by Ohio St, convincingly imo, so it'll be interesting to see what happens to them given their weak SOS.

Agreed, Oregon is the pick of the litter in the B1G…which pains me.

I agree about IU vs OSU (unfortunately), it would be nice seeing somebody other than the usual suspects.
