Sioux City football

Actually the system now has created matchup I thought I would never see. If they can have some consistent year in and out with the system and produce those matchups.

I'm sure the Western Side of the State is tired of going through Dowling or Valley. The only way you may get around that is to follow a true RPI Playoff formatting

That’s what needs to change. The scheduling. SC is lumped in with the DM area schools and it’s a 3.5 hour drive and some years a SC school has to make that trip three times. It’s just stupid, the games are UGLY...although Sioux City teams usually beat the weaker DM schools like Hoover, North, etc. Wouldnt mind one trip to DM a year regardless of opponent, but not twice or three times, then twice more they come here. Waste of everyone’s time

Short of going strictly geographic districts, I don’t see how it can be avoided. With only five 4A schools on the western edge, poor Fort Dodge would be stuck with 2-3 hour road trips for all their district away games.

The drive from Sioux City to the DSM Metro area is a short one compared to what schools in many other states do. In Texas there are district trips of over 5 hours.

It must be fun to just say things with no actual facts. Heelan will have first losing season in over 30 years and has been a powerhouse making the playoffs year after year. Sioux City North and Sioux City West would both lose to Heelan (West did) by 50 points or more. To say Heelan having one down year they are no longer good is your hope not reality. Understand the difference.

I'll repeat myself. SC football USED to start and stop with Heelan. I'm trying to say that Heelan used to be good and now they're not. Understand the difference? SC football doesn't start with anyone. Period. Here are some facts for you: SCH record in 2019....2-6. That's with one win coming against SCW by 50 points. Like I said, they used to be a great football team years ago. They aren't now. SBL is far far superior to Heelan and will continue to be with the talent both schools have coming up. Can Heelan still make the playoffs every now and again? Maybe. They have an easiest enough schedule to do so. I'm not saying SCN and SCW are better than Heelan, because they're not. I just don't think Heelan's going to be anywhere near what they were years ago. Make sense? It must considering your username.... Jansenmustgo? You referring to the Heelan coach?

Heelan is not any good and it will not get any better in the future. Low numbers and no talent. SB-L will continue to dominate this district but will need to figure out how to beat Lewis Central.
