So after game between Winterst and LC-Winterset parents were saying LC didn't have any D1 worthy players...okay Max Duggan was only recruited by 25 D1 schools-guess those guys were all wrong. LC won 52-14

Sounded alot like Carlisle's group. Would like they like some Budweiser with that cheese?

If the weather holds up as predicted, there could be a lot of games being played on Saturday. Away teams may be taking two road trips.

Well, The Lewis Central /Harlan question was answered in a big way tonight. LC drilled Harlan by 30 plus points. Much more physical. Harlan's QB did what he could. Several wide open receivers over thrown. Kid has a nice arm, a couple of drops by his teammates didn't help his cause. Max Duggan put on a clinic for LC. I believe he had 5 td's and 300 plus yards in the 1st half alone. Coach Bladt (Harlan) will be glad to see Duggan go. It's interesting, Harlan used to own LC for years which leads to the question are less people living in that area and will they ever get back to where they ( Harlan) were? Living close to Omaha leads to one on one training and multiple options for specialization a few minutes away, allowing the kids to get better. Also lots more for kids to do. Harlan is a great community, no disrespect, just wondering out loud if this is a blip or a trend. ( LC getting bigger and better and Harlan hanging on)

An interesting side note, I asked Coach Bladt once who was the best player he had ever faced while coaching at Harlan. - Brandon Wegher from Heelan. 5572 yards rushing and 82 touchdowns his Jr. and Sr. Season @ Heelan. I wonder where Duggan would fit on the list...thoughts??
