Prefer to see that head line earlier season score rather than one below LOL. Still trying to figure out what happend to the Crusader at mid-season. Everyone else improved we didn’t. Was it injuries? Good luck to the Warriors and Tigers. Two good D1 teams. Crusaders will be back next year stronger than ever.

not too worried about the crusaders, coach jasen will get the job done there, good coach. i am not sure what happen to the cruasders, when i watched them play sbl, they looked better than the second time...sort of weird how high school football games can be so different

Heelan will be in the Dome next year. Coach Jansen will embarrass everyone after this year because a couple of teams ran up the score on us with trick plays. We won’t forget.
Coach Jansen will have to create a better magic playbook next time

You give Coach the entire offseason to think about that loss last Friday and things get scary for the rest of 3A. Let’s face it SBL played well, Heelan did not and every break went to SBL including 7 or 8 questionable calls that could have changed the outcome of the game.
Yeah, it really is frightening for the rest of 3A. I am sure that everyone is very scared and thinking about playing against the Boys in Blue next year right now.

It looked an awful lot like the pattern of the last three years. Start off on one level, but then instead of getting better, which is historically what they do, they got worse. Probably just some leftover malaise from '15 to '17. The 9 thru 11 classes look pretty tough; Jansen and company will have an entire year to figure it out. Which they almost certainly will.

Coach Jansen is going to regret leaving college ranks. 9-11 is low in numbers and even lower on talent. Any Wehgers coming ? those always help.

BH....that's quite a turnabout from saying that Heelan will be back stronger than ever in one post to saying that the upcoming classes lack numbers & talent in another. Which is it?

All of that aside, let's inject some facts into the discussion: Heelan's sophomore and junior classes this year had 36 players between the two of them--not exactly huge numbers, but not bad either. This year's freshman class had 29 players out, and were a mistake and questionable call away from an undefeated season. The sophs & juniors had successful freshman seasons as well. One never knows how kids will develop as athletes as they move through high school, but the makings of success is certainly there. Combine that with the return of Jansen & company, and the future is more than bright for them.

When you have to start hanging on Frosh seasons........not a good sign

I don't think anyone is "hanging on frosh seasons". Just saying that there is a lot of talent & potential returning.

No matter what, saying that the last four seasons haven't been up to standards would be a huge understatement. And being an also-ran in 3A isn't an option. They could have stayed in 4A if they were going to do that--and avoided some of the stigma of dropping down a class.
