Dunkerton 70, Aplington-Parkersburg 66 in 2OT
Iowa City West 65, Cedar Rapids Prairie 55 Good showing by Prairie
Sioux City East 55, CR Kennedy 53; Kennedy, which has been getting rolled lately in the MVC, plays it tight with highly-ranked East
Treynor 67, SC Heelan 65 in OT; Another head-scratcher.
So SC East, Heelan and DM North almost go down to teams you'd predict wouldn't have much of a chance. Also, as Red87 posted, Charles City and Waverly, the strength of their conference, went down big to ranked teams in the same class. I'll bet the close games and upsets continue all the way to the tourney and through it. Lots of "unrecognized" teams with a chance to make noise this year. It should be fun.
