Calling it quits next week. Been having some dizzy spells when getting up and supervisors are a little nervous. They offered an escort whenever I go out in the plant (recycle paper mill) but I decided it's time. Short term disability pays 70% and assuming I get SSDI, I will actually be taking home more money.

First trip is going down to the Gulf Shores area, wife has a whole list of things she wants to see, I just want to go fishing for a morning. The rest probably won't be so far away.

Good luck on your new adventure, Roos... I'm staying busy with dabbling in a few 'side hustle' things and getting projects around the house done. Started back to playing some golf after a 18yr hiatus as well. Its actually fun not remembering what day it is... 'cause it doesn't matter! 🤣

I "retired" and it lasted about 3 weeks. I was stir crazy but the real issue was that my wife said I have to find some other place to hangout. Apparently I was annoying???...go figure.

Now I'm the long d!ck of the law and I'm certain that I am much less annoying as a result.

I'm sure your wife finds you less annoying.

I would be better if Friday wasn't her last day of the school year. I'm not sure how much together time I can take.
Need to try and regain some cardiovascular stamina. Some days I can't do crap without getting out of breath and dizzy.

Dang, man. Know that all of us here are hoping for the best for you. You'll remain in our thoughts and prayers.

You've always had the right attitude and you'll keep fighting because that's who you are. Refocus your efforts and devote that energy to beating this latest complication. Take one more step...and then do it again.

God bless you friend. Honestly I'm in awe of you and Moby. You're both characters that Clint Eastwood played.

Enjoy your retirement and stay busy fishing, golfing, hunting… outdoors is key. And have a great time at the beach.
Go down to the Pink Pony Pub and find Clarence. $170 8 balls!

There is a lake about 12 miles from home that has muskies, haven't ever caught one of those. Another one near where one of my daughters lives about 60 miles away. I'm sure there more that I haven't look for yet. Feeling good today, apparently takes almost a week for the chemo crappy feeling to go away. I'm just going to have to do stuff thru it.

Maybe I'll try early muzzleloader this year, have been doing late muzzleloader where I can use a pistol because I hate cleaning muzzle loaders but there some new powder that is almost non-corrosive I haven't tried.
