Is a victory like this even special anymore? Or is it just taken for granted and expected? I just don't think it has like that special meaning that it would to a small town. Small town where kids grow up watching guys play under those friday night lights. Small towns where kids go to the same SCHOOL growing up. Not changing schools your junior and senior year. Small little towns can't quite pull from a constantly growing Iowa City/Corallville/wherever. All the unappreciative snot bags not even wanting to play any of the second half today cause they thought it should just be handed too em. Have had their behinds wiped for them all their life and mommy and daddy always at their side. Other kids would kill to be able to play a full game in the UNI dome, i mean who wouldn't. How long until the state does something? Is it just not obvious enough of Regina is always trying to get other kids to come to their school? West Branch, Wilton, Solon. Cough Cade Jones, Cough James Morris. You know the drill. Yep call me a "regina hater" cause my school probably got "stomped" by you guys. It's just pathetic until Regina gots off of their knees cause thats all their good at doing with the state. So what you guys beat Xavier, want a medal? Bout time you guys scheduled a tougher team to prove something. Well that's about all I got. Pinehawk and Cidhawk will be on this like stink on their own rears in no time. Sorry for any grammar errors, ill be sure to have one of Regina's 38 coaches check it over cause they got a coach for just about everything from butt sniffing to cleat cleaning.

How much of their line do they return?? I know losing cook and brinkman will be huge. They do return Phillips,stenger, and hunter. But other than that who will step up next year?

They will need some guys to step up, a good off season in the weight room should help. The cupboard isn't as empty as some would hope.

To a couple posters:

James Morris went from Regina to Solon when his mom married (Regina didn't try to get him back, sure they would have welcomed him & his brother though).

As far as Regina not getting back to the dome - as long as they are in 1A they will be a dome constant. The athletes they have in the system (from Fresh up) are committed, hard working kids. Stop by their school during the "off-season" and you will see numbers in\around the weight room. If you look at their Fresh\JV record against some pretty salty schools bigger than them, they did very well.

As far as expectations go for this to continue, one bit of advice I would like to share - live with your team not through them.

Regina returns two starting offensive lineman.

Jared Brinkman (soph) is going to be a great player

They graduate a lot, but there is a ton of talent at Regina in the lower grades that would have started this season at most schools, just not at Regina. And they have were able to practice 4 extra weeks again this year, that most schools do not get.

Not to mention the underclassmen got to play a lot of varsity football this season in the 2nd half of games.
