I have been reading all of this stuff and I just cannot sit back and be quiet anymore.
Bottom line: If you do not respect the heck out of what Coach Cook and his staff and players have accomplished the last 8 years then you need a head examination.
You can't name more than 1 or 2 other teams in the entire nation that have won that many titles in a row. That have played in that many championship games in a row
Sooner or later, everyone will fall. It is the nature of the game. Injuries or just lack of talent/numbers are going to strike down every small school.
This was that season for the Regals.
They will be back and be much better (and hopefully healthy for their sake) in 2019. With a nucleus of Ashton Cook, Alec Wick, and Nick Wagner with two seasons remaining, the ring may just fit back on the finger again soon.
I am so tired of every post being hijacked by trolls like Pinehawk, IaBeastMode (let it go, man), GoEagles23, and others. These are HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYERS and we are talking about them like they have committed crimes.
Sit back and enjoy this journey. Since I left the posting portion of the website, I have been far more relaxed and felt much more tranquility when I am on this board as a reader.
WB and Regina will forever be linked because of their proximity to one another.

But, do me a favor with the following points:
1) "Butch gets the schedule he wanted" - you really think he put Williamsburg on the schedule? You really think he asked the state to give him (3) district road games of over 150 miles roundtrip? Do you really think he manipulated the state to keep Regina away?
As we have seen with the RPI, the IHSAA has some control now. If they wanted to put WB and Regina on the schedule, they could. Personally, I would schedule it every season from a financial standpoint. The gate would be ridiculous!
2) "West Branch avoids Regina" - no, they don't. If you want to be the best you have to beat the best. And, frankly, Regina IS the best. Period.

By the way, I see a Dike-New Hartford vs West Sioux final. West Sioux is my champion.
