Luke has this site's rankings out now, and he's got a good list. As the season goes on, the rankings tend to get more accurate. At the end, though, I always figure that overall team talent, coaching and strength of schedule are what counts. I'm always wary of some undefeated team with a weak schedule giving us the impression that they are better than they really are. And then in February the IHSAA tries to "geographically balance the field" and a few good teams get the royal pickle when some substates have five or six strong teams and others have only one or two and, rarely, none..
