I dont think the west sioux vs west hancock game will be that high of a score. Yes west sioux throws allot but west hancock runs the ball allot and will consume clock.

I live on the west side of the state and I’ve watched West Sioux quite a bit this year and honestly I don’t think the game is close. Dekkers throws it too well (maybe the best in the state) and Lynott is just head and shoulders above his competition athletically, runs hard and cuts with the best of them. If you add Coopmans into that mix and they’re close to unstoppable, which they’ve proved all year with over 50+ PPG. I used to think CBSA was the only team that could challenge them but after they laid an egg against SW valley (who got drubbed by Gehlen last week) I’m not sure they survive this week let alone match up against West Sioux. They’re the most put together team in the state with no apparent weaknesses and could honestly have a running clock throughout the playoffs.

I don’t think they have engraved the trophy yet. West Hancock is a proud program and they will play hard. West Sioux is a very good football team. Very physical. So is CBSA and gehlen believe it or not would like to play that game again. I remember some saying about chickens and hatching.

I guess I haven't seen what the weather will be like. I do know Britt has a good physical run game and if they can block all the blitzing backers West Sioux likes to bring then they can keep that offense off the field. I just don't see anyone matching up with West Sioux for 4 quarters, too many athletes.

Looks like 38-40 w/some rain about kickoff time. Not absolutely sure as free Accuweather doesn't give the hourly forecast that far out. The worse weather the better for the Beast FB ground game.

Iron Doc's main concern is Sea Monsters rising out of the Big Sioux river and threatening our fans. :(

Saw the score of gehlen vs west Sioux and they want to play them again? That seemed pretty one sided.

In all the years I have watched football, I have never seen a football team (Gehlen) get better as the year goes on. When you play someone around the middle of the season, that team (Gehlen) is playing the best football of the season, everyone is healthy. It amazes me the people that can predict a playoff football game based on a previous matchup played a month ago. Could be the same result but I would let it play out.

Iron Doc just checked the hourly conditions for Hawarden at 7:00 PM 11/3/17 on Accuweather.
39, wind chill 33, wind ESE at 8 mph. Getting a bit worse forecast, which is good. Iron Doc (who has Connections) will see what he can do about lowering the temperature about 10 degrees and summoning gale force winds and sleet for game time. :)
None of the above conditions really affect the Beasts' ground game.

Im not sure these games will be even this close. Hudson will thrash LS imo. I'm hoping IronDoc's Beasts give West Sioux a run but video I have seen of W Sioux...they look like men against boys. Maybe gehlen has gotten better, but hard to except the week 9 loss to Westwood if that is the case. I do think StA can beat GR. wapsie ran the ball well against GR, so hard to believe StA wont do some business on the ground. If the Saints hold up against the pass, I think they win.

Last Friday - game time - 35 degrees with 14 mph north wind, 28 degree wind chill. Starters played 1 minute into the third quarter. Kind of looks like we like cold also. It will be a good game. Good Luck.

Yes it will and good luck to you folks too.

West Sioux
St Albert
GR
Lynnville vs Hudson will be a battle. I'll go with Hudson for the GR v Hudson rematch in the dome. But Hudson is going to have their hands full.

West Sioux and Hudson roll into the semi finals without much struggle. CBSA and LeMars should be a good game if you look at comparative scores. If GR is to return to the Dome it will take a great effort. This is a toss up game and could be an instant classic. Wish that I could be there for that one.

No question the Saint Albert Falcons laid an egg against SW Valley-good thing for them it was earlier in the season. The Semi-finals will be a good game. Yes West Sioux has had an impressive season, but don't count out the Falcons. Senior kids that play extremely hard. The LeMars team that came to town played well, congrats on a great season. I was at the Sw Valley Mud bowl-no excuses- but that game should never have been played that night or at the very least been played on the turf at LC or CB stadium. When West Sioux and SA matched up last year it was tight-I suspect we will see more of the same this week.
