How has everything with the football season been going so far?
“The season has been going well so far. We are 4-1 and tied for second in the district at the moment.”
Have you been pleased with how you have played this season?
“I've been pretty pleased with my play up to this point. I am playing new positions on both offense and defense this season and really enjoying both. I feel like I'm still learning something new each week at both positions.”
How do you feel your team has played?
“I feel like we've played pretty well for the most part. We still have plenty of areas to get better at and we are a young team so there is a lot of growth yet to be made.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We can honestly make improvements in all areas of the game. Being a better tackling team and being consistent with our responsibilities on the field would be focal points.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“We finish the season with our 2 biggest games of the year against teams that are physical and run heavy. To be successful we'll have to tackle well and match their physicality. Both teams do a good job creating turnovers also so we'll have to take care of the football and create turnovers ourselves.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I do. I am really open to either football or basketball at the moment. Whichever provides the best opportunity and fit for me. I really just love competing.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven't had a lot of recruiting action yet but I am looking forward to the recruiting process.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My dad played basketball for Iowa State so I followed them growing up and I have family that played football for Toledo and Mount Union in Ohio so I just enjoy watching all Midwest teams.”
