Yes, congratulations on confirming gender dysphoria is not all transgender youth, and showing why doctors and psychiatrists are against surgery for minors, something the majority of Democrats agree with. What Conservative media likes to do is point to "gender affirming care" support, which is NOT surgery, and lie that it is about surgery.
I don't know why you attempt to split gender dysphoria and the word transgender, like they're different. They are ONE and the SAME. A trans person thinks they should be the opposite sex... which is the DSM-5 definition of transgender.
And why give we give 'gender affirming care' to someone who has a mental disorder? ESPECIALLY minors? Kids don't have a grasp on 'gender identity' any more than you have a grasp on qualities a leader should have. Just b/c my 13yo granddaughter dressed up one time like a cowboy suddenly means she's having gender identity issues? GMAFB. And BTW, there have been plenty of minors who are now young adults that regret having their irreversible surgery b/c of a stupid fantasy they had as minors.
Further, why would we give someone with body dysmorphia 'appendage affirming care' when they want their arm cut off? Or give anorexics 'bony affirming care' when they weigh 80lbs? Why should gender be any different? Its not any different and it is wrong to pretend these people are mentally OK. And trust me, I know first hand a man who spent 20yrs as a military intelligence officer and another 20 as a pharma manager who then chose to be a woman. Says he's never been happier AFTER his wife left him, both kids have disowned him, and is now living with a trans girl who switched to being a guy. So fvcked up. I just SMDH. If he's/she's/it's happy, great. Just stay out of public bathrooms when my granddaughters are in there, and don't play in women's sports.
