How did the spring and summer go for you with basketball?
“I completed my fourth year with Iowa Prep this summer. All in all, it went very well. We had a great group of guys coached by John Payan. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to go to all the places we wanted to play at due to COVID.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I haven’t really stopped working out since summer and I do footwork and ball handling drills three times a week at least. Also, I work out with my dad and my high school coach, Coach Spielbauer.”
What have you improved on the most since last season?
“I have improved the most on my decision making and taking care of the ball. A huge point for me I want to work on this summer.”
How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“The way we finished last season was positive. We started playing good towards the end of the year with our young team. I think this year, we’re going to build off of last year and we bring back a lot of our scoring so it should be a fun year. I’m looking forward to it.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2020-2021?
“Our toughest game this year is probably Pekin. They are well coached and have won conference the last two years. We respect all of their players with the way they shoot the ball.”
Who is the toughest individual player you will play against this season?
“It’s hard to say, but I think it’s between either Eli Ours of Hillcrest or Brady Millikan of Pekin. They both are great, well-rounded players.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“In college, I plan on playing basketball because I’ve worked hard at it and it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“No one as of now.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, I haven’t.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was always LSU and Iowa.”
