What’s sad about this is even though this is devastating a woke stronghold, they probably won’t learn the lesson.
Wonder how some different decisions would have lessened the impact.

Well yea...being in a fire is bad and it's one of the main reasons that we employ firefighters.
That quote is just the most amazingly ignorant BS I've ever heard from a first responder....and that's no small thing.
I have a friend in the fire department up here who says the EXACT same thing about preparedness, and he's a more than capable former Marine and Iraq War veteran. I know you guys piss your panties in a rush to blame EVERY natural disaster on Democrats, but this is an even dumber MAGAt talking point than usual.

Carrying someone out of danger is LITERALLY part of the standard. Outside of DEI world, you must be able to carry your buddy out of danger to pass their standards and graduate from fire academy.

Only 5% of firefighters are women partly BECAUSE they have to pass physical requirements like a 10 minute timed test performing 8 tasks while hauling 50 pounds of gear and yes, carrying a weighted dummy to safety. Are so stupid as to only take a tiny segment from a heavily edited video as your gospell? JFC...
