How did the basketball season go for your team?
“It went well. We made state for the first time in history. We knew we’d be good but everyone did their roles and we made state. I couldn’t be any more proud.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I was in track and I’ve been lifting almost every day after school. I’ve bene shooting after school and I’ve been working hard so we can get back to state. That was fun.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I am trying to improve on the consistency of my shot. I want to improve my strength. I really need to get stronger on the inside.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I feel that we’ll be just as good as we were last year. We lost five seniors that were good players but we have some talent. We got some underclassmen that will help us. I think we’ll be good.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017?
“I think Gehlen will be pretty good. They lost five seniors and have five returning juniors.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve gotten Briar Cliff and I visited there. There are some Division II colleges looking at me. I got invited to the Central Michigan basketball camp this year. I’ve been trying to get to the USD and UNI basketball camps.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I’d say Briar Cliff. They are really trying to get me.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa has always been one of my colleges and USD. I’d love to play for those schools because I’ve been a fan for a while.”
