How did summer basketball go for your team?
“We played pretty good in the last tournament and went 4-1. We won the last game in overtime. It was a fun way to end AAU.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I got golf. We are the #1 team in the state for golf and I’m on the team. I am working a lot on golf but I am still working at the high school.”
How do you believe your team will be this season?
“We should be a lot better this year. We’ll have a lot of seniors and we were good as freshmen. I am hoping we can win eight, nine, or ten games. This season should be more fun.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017-2018?
“Cedar Falls. They got AJ Green and a young team. It could also be Ames with Joe Evans and Japannah Kellogg. Those two are impressive.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Grand View. I’ve talked to them a lot and they want me to come on a visit. I get letters from all of the Iowa schools. I get questionnaires from Midland and other schools. I might go to MCC. I have a full ride at MCC. That is just in my home town. I might go there for two-years and Division I after that.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Grand View is probably the hardest. They have two of their coaches texting me on a regular basis talking about golf and basketball. It is also MCC because I work out there a lot.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ll probably do those after the golf season. I will probably take one to Grand View. I am not ruling anything else out.”
