What is keeping you busy with sports as of late?
“I’d say football now. Basketball is kind of on the down low. We do daily workouts for lifting with our football coaches.”

How did the first week of the football season go?
“I feel it went pretty well. We played Southeast Valley and were down 13-0 in the first quarter. We could have thought we were going to get smoked but we won 27-23.”

What do you know about your next opponent in Clarion?
“I think it’ll be a pretty good game. They are always competitive. They lost a lot of their starters from last year and we kept almost all of our starters. Our new head coach is a former Clarion coach and he knows quite a lot about their program.”

How do you believe your team will be this season?
“I think our team will be a lot better than last year. Our head coach held a basketball camp and we had a good number of kids show up. We should be much better than last year. We are looking at .500 or above.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017-2018?
“I think our toughest game is probably going to be Garner-Hayfield. They got James Betz, who is really tough. That will be a tough matchup.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have a coach that is texting me from Briar Cliff. I got an offer from them and took a visit there last week. I was pretty impressed with their program.”

What other colleges are interested?
“I’d say the only other schools that have been sending me stuff are Nebraska Wesleyan and BV. There hasn’t been much other than that.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not so far. I haven’t planned anything else yet sporting wise. Briar Cliff is the only one I’ve gone to so far.”
