How are the basketball practices been going so far?
"It has been really good. Me, Matt (Mims), and Max (Techau) are working hard to be leaders for the whole team. I feel it is going well for everyone."
What are the keys for your team to be successful?
"It is how well we can play defense. Coach has really focused on that with us because we know that we can score points. If we can defend for 32-points, I think have another good chance."
What are your thoughts on Mount Pleasant?
"They are mostly juniors and have been playing together for a long time. They got really good guard play. They are a solid team and it will be a good game."
Do you feel you have a target on your back this season?
"Coach Luehrsmann has said that and that we need to respond to that. We have to be able to handle the pressure of being state champions from a year ago."
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Drake, UNI, South Dakota State, North Dakota State, and a couple of Division II schools like Upper Iowa and Winona State.”

“There is not just one school right now. It is just letters, texts, and stuff like that.”
