How has the baseball season been going this summer?
“This baseball season has been really tough for our team. We have battled through injuries to more than two starters. Many guys have been playing in positions that they are not use to, but we have all been just grinding and trying to get better every day.”

What do you feel you have improved on most this off-season?
“I feel like I improved most with my approach at the plate. This past off-season I really worked on hunting my pitch and not swinging at pitches that I can’t drive early in the count. This has transplanted to the field, and I have been able to get on base a lot because of my approach.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“This football season will definitely be really tough. We have had a few guys that have decided to transfer to different schools for various reasons. We will definitely be a really young team with a lot of guys that don’t have much experience at the varsity level.”

What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The toughest team that we have on our schedule is without a doubt Southeast Polk. They are a really solid team with some high-level recruits.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“The toughest individual we will face this season is probably Xavier Nwankpa from Southeast Polk.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I do want to play college sports. I would love to play baseball at the next level, that has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little kid.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have had some schools reach out to me in football like St Ambrose and have had a few talk to me personally in baseball, but right now I am mostly just focusing on finishing the season strong.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have visited Loras, Wartburg on my own, as well as Southeastern Community College.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on visiting a lot of schools this off-season and just seeing which ones fit me best.”

Have you done any camps this off-season? How do you feel you performed?
“I did not do any camps this off season as I was recovering from an ankle injury.”

Do you have any plans for camps ahead?
“I plan on attending PBR showcases this off season.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was North Carolina. I was always a huge fan of them for all sports.”
