How is the basketball season going?
“We’re having a pretty solid season. We’re 15-6 right now. We lost some games that we should’ve won, but we are a young team and still learning.”

What can your team improve on?
“Our team defense and the ability to close out games. Most of our losses came down to the final minute.”

Who do you play in the first round of the playoffs and what are your thoughts on them?
“Durant or Louisa Muscatine. I don’t know anything about Louisa Muscatine, but we played Durant during the season and beat them. They are a solid team and if we play them, it will be a tough game.”

How do you feel about your district pairing?
“I’m excited about our district. We host our first game after getting a bye. When we win, we will play in Clinton, which is like a home game for us. Then we go to Muscatine for a shot at a return trip to Des Moines, which is our goal.”

Do you want to play basketball in college?
“I definitely want to be a college athlete, but as of now, I love basketball, football, and track equally.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“None. I’m not that good yet.”

What camps are you going to this summer?
“I have no camps lined up as of now, but I will be playing all spring and summer with the Iowa Barnstormers AAU team.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always been a diehard North Carolina fan.”
