What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“My typical day starts about 6:00 am with basketball training either at my school or with my personal trainer. Next, I get in the weight room and get a good lifting session with the team. After lifting I do football skills training with my team and am home resting by noon. Later in the evening I play basketball games or have individual football training. I do this 4-5 days a week.”
What do you feel you have improved on most this off-season?
“I feel like I have improved my strength and speed this off-season. Being able to train at the school and be around my teammates has really motivated me versus social distancing like last season. I can feel a big difference this year compared to last.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I believe we have a great football team this year and our goals are nothing short of going back to the dome and winning the state title, to do this we know that it takes one game at a time.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“The next game, which will be our first game, then it will be our next game and then the next game after that. Basically, I take it one game at a time so as of now the only game I’m looking at is August 27 vs Urbandale.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“I honestly don’t know, and I really don’t care. I’ve been putting in the work in the off-season and feel confident and prepared to take on any opponent I face this season.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I definitely want to play sports in college. Right now, it is difficult for me to choose just one sport, I’m torn between football and basketball. The one I choose will really depend on the opportunity.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“So far I have not been recruited to any colleges.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips yet.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“NA.”
Have you done any camps this off-season? How do you feel you performed?
“I went to the Lindenwood Mega Camp and did ok and then I went to Northern Illinois University and had an awesome performance, not allowing a single ball caught.”
Do you have any plans for camps ahead?
“I plan to attend the College Coaches Showcase Camp in Altoona, Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa Prospect Camp. I am also considering attending a prospect camp at Western IL and possibly Eastern IL later in July.”
