How was the baseball season?
“It went pretty good. I didn’t come in thinking that I’d be a varsity player. I ended up starting varsity every game.”

What are your plans going forward now?
“I’ll be starting workouts for football and hitting the weight room.”

How do you feel about your first opponent of the football season in Carlisle?
“I know they have a lot of good seniors this year. Last year, they had quite a bit of juniors. I know that they’ll be better this year than last year.”

What are the keys to your team being successful this fall?
“I think we have to be successful on both sides of the ball. A lot of games last year we were pretty good on offense or defense but we didn’t do both. We have to be really connected on both sides of the ball.”

Did you do any college camps this summer?
“I signed up for some of them but I got caught up with baseball and all of that.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Not that I know of.”

What camps were you going to go to?
“I was going to go to Iowa State, Iowa, and UNI.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Definitely the Iowa Hawkeyes.”
