this is my game of the week, not too long ago prairie beat ICW pretty soundly, i believe they will bounce back and upset the hawks. thoughts?

I think the winner of this one is the east's rep in the finals. Prairie scored 66 on ICW a few weeks ago, but I'm curious if seeing the trickery offense a second time will be a big help. Personally, I think a unit that gives up 66 to a team is likely just that much out-manned and will be again.
CRP scored 39 on ICW 6 weeks ago, not 66. Not sure where you are getting your information from. Also, although the current CRP QB may be just as talented, they don't have their original starting QB that played in that game against ICW. Personally, I think ICW turns it around this time and wins this game something like 38-31.
You think winner of this game will beat winner of wash/ic high (presumably wash) I believe washingtons defense is too good to beat by any team on the east side
I did not see the previous match up between Prarie and Iowa City West, and I also did not hear a lot about it. But just looking at the score and statistics, it seems like Prarie controlled West pretty well and I believe they will again. I think Prarie's current QB is better then Simonsen (the one who played against West last time) but I also believe Iowa City West has been rolling these past couple weeks so this matchup will be closer. I'm predicting a 35-31 Cedar Rapids Prarie win.
Must believe we will see a heavy dose of flitz to Martin and lane. I predict both to have 2 recieving tds and 1 lane rushing score 35-21 ICW
I agree @dubco reviews, Washington has looked very very good all season and seems to have that grit to win the close ones. I think they are by far the favorite in the east and will be playing in the dome on the 18th. Washington has been known for being a very pass heavy and pass strong this season but seem to be developing a running game behind a strong o line and bowling ball of a running back Ian Thomas. They ran the ball right down Western Dubuque's throats last week, who have been known to have a good run defense. With a tough as nails defense, and a new and improved balanced offensive attack, Washington will win the east.
Not sure what I was thinking. Still taking Prairie. Haven't seen enough to think that ICW can stop them. Although now that I went back and looked at the previous game (turns out I can't rely on memory) ICW had around 500 yards of offense in that game!
Yes, I do believe either of these teams will beat Wash in the semis. Gut feeling is that both of these teams have improved a lot more throughout the year than Wash and Wash isn't really looking great. When I watched Wash and WD I left feeling like they were not going to win another playoff game like that.
I felt wash played a good game against a very underrated western Dubuque team that was putting up well over 100 yards rushing on every team they played and wash held there leading rusher to under 70 yards I believe also looked as if they were inches away from knocking down balls on all 3 western Dubuque tds all great plays by the recievers and Gotto (qb) i believe the defense is very solid
That is the case with Wash. The defense is very good, always is. But the two offenses in the other quarterfinal are very good too and will score. I'm predicting their offense won't be enough to win.
Wash is playing their best football right now. The emergence of a running game is huge. They did not play as well defensively last week against Western Dubuque in my opinion. I think they can win the East if they play great defense and limit turnovers. Having said all that, I also think anybody can beat anybody at this point. I really like the new playoff format even though it was as a bit scary that Wash could have missed out with a 7-2 record..
Great game on friday between ICW and prairie, I was very close with my prediction and I believe ICW is the team to beat right now. I attended the washington and western dubuque game a few weekds ago and if you werent there you would think the washington pass defense struggled but multiple times washington was inches away from breaking up passes. I believe Gotto (wd) is noticeably better than Flitz (ICW) offensive weapons on the other hand is a different story obviously with martin being one of the top receivers in the country. With that being said i believe Washington can hold the weapons for ICW in check by pressuring Flitz and having him make the mistakes. My prediction is 27-17 Washington.
Pressure on the QB and not letting the receivers get behind our pass coverage will be key to winning this game. 31-21 Warriors win.
sort of off-topic but did anyone know that one of those officers shot last wednesday played for iowa city west on one of there state title teams? He was first team all-state too.

He was a great player and wrestler. They held a moment of silence at the game last week. That is a really sad deal.
