Did anyone watch both games? I watched the first half of the LM game. As a GR fan, i noticed they looked a lot like Pekin (size, athleticism wise) GR will be bigger on the lines. LM will have to stop Stokes (good luck) I'm looking forward to seeing if LM plays 4 LB's. Picking GR to win this due to their running game.

I agree with you mostly. The one thing that wont matter is GR line size. Mt Ayr was HUGE up front and that didn't stop LM, but i agree that Stokes is going to be a HUGE threat & handful for LM. How good is GR backup QB at passing and running? If LM can shutdown Stokes the could have a good chance, but i dont see it happening. I think it should be a good, physical game!

I do not thing LoMa will have any problem with size in this matchup. They had to play the Paulsen twins from W. Central and from looking at the height and weight of the rest of W. Central's O-line LoMa was tiny, but it did not seem to be a problem for them at all. I think it is going to come down if they are going to be able to make those open field tackles on Stokes. I predict Gladbrook winning this one 21 - 13 and Stokes goes for 175 yards.

Big guys can't beat LoMa because they are really fast/athletic and their defensive line cuts and they do it well. There really hasn't been many teams that have done really well running the ball against LoMa, so I don't think Stokes is the X factor of this game. For GR to win this game they will need to play sound defense, and make a couple really big plays. Should be a really fun and exciting game.

Should be a good and close game. Game will most likely come down to turnovers, I don't really see either team dominating the other. It may come down to who has the ball last. That being said I think GR should have the advantage.

Mt Ayr's line may be as big as GR's, but they're not as fast.
Loosing Kickbush is big, his leadership is irreplaceable. Skill set wise, the back up IMO has a bigger arm, and runs just as well. I think it hurts GR more with him not playing WR. After a week of practice, the back up went to AGWSR (undefeated at the time) and dominated them. they will be fine at QB.
Stokes/Dinsdale will get their yards. LM needs to stop Stokes 50+ yard runs to keep this close.
