This thread is dedicated to all things playoffs. Teams that have clinched, talk about what needs to happen for teams to get in, for teams to be eliminated etc. Just for a reference, here are the tie breaker rules for determining which teams will qualify:

District Alignment-
Classes 3A, 2A, 1A and A: 7 districts each with 8 teams. District Champion and Runner-Up will automatically qualify and 2 wild card teams will also qualify based on the following criteria:

A. Any team considered a district champion (Anyone in a 3 or 4 way tie)
B. District Record
C. Head to Head Competition (District or Non- District)
D. Tie Breaker Differential +/- 17
E. Alphabetical Draw- 2016 will start with letter K through Z and 2017 will be A through J.

If Southeast Valley wins there next 2 then there will probably be a 3 way tie in D-7. Kuemper plays at SV inweek 9. Kuemper beat SCC in week 6 ,SCC beat SV 16-14 inweek 3. Cant wait for next week. Huge game!

D4 became clearer, but still a lot that could happen.

1-NFV (win and in)
2-Union (win and in)

Less likely scenarios...
IF Waukon beats NFV and Union beats Cascade, there would be a three way tie for 1st.

IF NFV beats Waukon and Cascade beats Union, there would be a three way tie for 2nd. Points would come into play.

Waukon gets in with a win over NFV.

I'll take a crack at it, one week out
BHRV/CLGLR winner hosts South Central Cal
Kuemper hosts BHRV/CLGLR loser
DNH hosts Southeast Valley
PCM hosts Roland-Story
Williamsburg/Mount Vernon winner hosts Central Lee
Williamsburg/Mount Vernon loser hosts Waukon
NFV hosts New Hampton
Cresco hosts Union

Assumptions:This coming Friday: NFV beats Waukon, Kuemper beats Southeast Valley, South Central Cal beats East Sac. In my above scenario, the wild cards are Waukon and Southeast Valley.

Your scenario can't happen as you'd have Waukon coming in as an At Large and playing a district runner up. At Large teams must play district champions, according to IHSAA rules.
