Team Strengths:
Size and four returning starters
Question Marks:
Guard play
Overview:
If you are looking for a sleeper pick in the MRC to knock off top dog Sioux City
East, North may be your answer. The team said goodbye to only one player
who spent time in the starting lineup. That prep, Kyle Uttech, only
averaged 2.2 points per game as a senior. Back for this team are five
players who started at times and a load of height. Their starting lineup
will likely consist of players standing 6-foot-8, 6-foot-6, and 6-foot-4.
If North can use that height to their advantage, watch out. Throw in the
fact that they have an extremely balanced offensive attack and that will make it
even tougher to stop them. The guards will have to knock down the outside
shot so that the inside players are not double and triple teamed but that will
have to be answered once the season starts.
