Kid and his family are being greedy AF and the agent(s) are just lying to him, telling him what he wants to hear hoping that they somehow get a bigger payday...and eff the kid if it blows up.

Y’all need to realize “hut hut” is never going to be the same. Be honest with yourselves and realize this fact then come on over to the basketball side of the street. This is all that matters from here on out.
Paying 30-40 kids an average of $2million/year isn’t sustainable. Basketball is the only sport where the players can be bought within budget since there are only 6-7 players on a decent basketball team worth $2million/year. No problem.
And we’ve all been used to the “one and done” for decades so the transfer portal is not such a culture shock.
