.....sure hope those #4 seeds enjoyed their cupcakes and lollipops after getting their participation ribbons. I bet the association didn't even offer to pay for them.
On a serious note, those games never should have been played. Give the #1 a bye. Let three teams in not four. These games are almost exclusively blowouts and tell us again (for gate money) what the regular season already told us. The #4 were not playoff worthy.
If you are a #4? You love this. If you are a #1? I doubt too many would not opt for bye and play in week 2 of the playoffs instead of playing these games against #4 seeds where it is so unnecessary. I would love to have one coach of a #1 seed in the state say they actually favor and would rather play a #4 seed over getting a bye in the first round.
How many teams scored over 50 points or more in what we call *cough* playoff games? I wonder if the team that played BGM enjoyed their evening and would be all over doing it again?
