If true, that is surprising to me as I would think it is easier to build a winner in MV (2A) that in Marion's (3A) conference. Assumption, West Delaware and to a lesser degree Wahlert are going to make for a tough challenge for Marion to build a power. MV has resources and seems like a pleasant enough location.
The guy is a competitor who gets the best out his players. I think some parents think he "rides" the kids too hard. But he wants to win and be successful. I think the guy is a great coach who can build success no matter where he goes.
If true, Marion will be getting a HUGE upgrade at coach and will be competitive again in a year or two.

I doubt, no I highly doubt, that Lance has worn out his welcome.
What bothers me is people who run to message boards to post names they have heard that have applied for positions and then try to smear the candidates. Prevents quality coaches from seeking out new opportunities. It doesn't serve the school with the opening well, the school with the applicant, or the applicant. It only serves the poster who may have applied for the job and is seeing what he can get to stick on the other applicants.

There are some coaches that have it in their mind that high school football is like coaching at small D1 college. As soon as a team has a good season they think they need to find another spot while there name is big. It's just not the case with high school football, a good season doesn't grant you a job at a class bigger, and just being at a class bigger does not make a job better. I really follow 4A football, and I would say that coaching at Mount Vernon would be a better job than a lot of 4A schools.
Are you trying to imply that I'm trying to apply for the Marion job??? Hate to burst your bubble but that's not me I'm not a coach. Ryan Hemphill? although aren't you a coach well at least according to your twitter it looks like you are, heck even at Mount Vernon by the way it looks, so I'm sure your opinion is totally unbiased there eh coach.
I would agree Wood, I also am not sold on the fact that MV will stay in class 2A, I think they will eventually go back up

All it took was a quick google search on your username, I'm not hiding under any usernames, and all I was pointing out was that your opinion seems highly unbiased sense you coach at MV or used to from your twitter account. Hey how'd the Chiefs do this year? lol

Again the humber of your posts and scanning through them it looks like you spend plenty of time on the boards when it's not Feb. As far as being on my level, I don't think that's possible since I don't coach, plus you guys made it to the championship game so you must not be horrible, maybe you should spend more time on the boards than other teams have a chance to make it to the finals...

This is not the first time you have tried to paint a coach in a negative light, and as a member of the coaching fraternity I decided to call you out on it. And most of the coaches you have slug dirt at have had great levels of achievement, so I don't mind you coming at me if you want. Your negativity is like a good luck charm

All I've ever done is mention things I've heard being reported in the news or by other people on twitter or other forms of social media... I don't think I even said anything negative about Coach Pedersen just that he's ready to move on already after a great run last season and was curious why he would want to jump ship so early.
You imply that Lance is being ran out of MV You said you hope to god Lance or Webb don't get the Marion job. Are you a Marion parent? You have mentioned before that a coach would be a terrible hire. All that isn't too positive if you ask me.

Umm Coach Pedersen doesn't coach at Alburnet he coaches with you at Mount Vernon, I think you should know that...right?? Why does Alburnet have anything to do with this smh

wow... So out of your coaching "fraternity" I'm using that word loosely here bc I think it's just silly... How many coaches do you think are paid members to a message board about high school sports??? I'm just taking stab at this but I don't believe Coach Cook, Coach Miller, Coach Swenson, and others prolly spend time on stuff like this... Being on a message board is for the fans and us arm chair QB's, if I'm honest if I were a coach I would have a problem if my coaches on the staff felt the need to participate on a prep message board... Just my two cents
