Mariah Casey

Apparently not...or at least no stats yet. Possible injury?

After leading NE Gooselake to a strong Cross Country season last fall, she would have been near the top in the Class 2A 1500 and 3000 this spring.

She ran in the 4x800 on March 6th.

However, the following is from the April 25th Quad City Times:

=================
Painful resolution: Northeast sophomore Mariah Casey hasn’t had the opportunity to build on her sixth-place finish in the 1,500 at last year’s Class 2A state track meet.

In February, Casey, who placed sixth at the 2A state cross country meet in the fall, noticed an increase pain in the left foot that had bothered her since her freshman year. She had surgery Monday to remove what turned out to be an extra navicular bone.

Casey hopes to be back for next fall’s cross country season.

“Right now I'm just counting down the days until I’m out of this cast,” she wrote in a Facebook message. “This sitting around thing isn’t easy for me.”
