Look at this one.

Obesity is simply a platform (big one) for a multitude of poor health conditions and TRUE diseases. By going along with this and not 'fat shaming' or 'body shaming' wokeness, people who don't call this out for what it is are participating in a lie just to make fat people feel better about themselves. Would anyone do the same for smokers? Would we 'care' more about how they are killing themselves? Would there be a 'smoker-phobia' to complain about? Hell no! But smoking can be looked at just like getting fat...

Obesity is NOT a disease... and if it is, then there is a 100% cure. STOP FVCKING EATING SO MUCH!! Start eating better and get some FVCKING exercise... it is a proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt CURE. We have created such a soft culture that anything that makes people a bit uncomfortable (like eating better and working out/exercise) is almost considered punishment. I don't feel sorry for them. It takes a years and years of dedicated overeating to get that fat. It's not like it snuck up on them one day and they just discovered they're fat.

Grab some mental discipline or be fat... but if you chose fatness, then don't cry and complain about how you're treated.

I was a bit heavy and have worked back down to a healthier weight. It’s night and day difference just as you say. Fewer problems and easier to do what I need to do every day.

Shitty food and lack of exercise - just as you say. Sure some people are more prone to gaining weight than others. Life isn’t fair. I have some German blood in my family that makes us more prone to being portly. Just have to learn what works for you and be smart with diet and exercise.

Best advice my GP gave me was stick to 1:1 protein / carbs. It’s more sustainable and works fine to drop the lbs and keep them off.

My stepdad maintained his 175lbs all of his life by noticing if his pants were getting tight; and/or when bathroom scales became popular and he noticed a 'few pounds' he added (10 or so), he would cut back on eating for the next week or so until those pounds went away. Sounds simple, but it worked like a charm for him.

I crept up to 230lbs a few years ago, but I'm 6'5" and can take that pretty easy, but my ideal is 215. I was riding 100m+/wk and not eating much (but lots of carbs), and couldn't shake the weight. So after researching different diets I jumped on the Keto / low carb and after 4 weeks the weight just fell off me. I got down to 210 and was amazed at how easy it was once you get past the craving sweets/carbs. Again, that's all it takes.... some discipline and exercise.

My son and I were at a The PGA Open a few years ago and this HUGE guy was sitting cady-corner down below us... and had to have weighed 450lbs. He had a big bowl of ice cream resting on his stomach like it was a table and slurping it down. Son says, 'you know dad, it's like having a full-time job to get that fat'... and he's right. It just doesn't happen, you have to work at it. Doesn't feel like work, but by God 95% of these fatties are doing it.
