Discuss. Spencer and Glendwood will face at the Waverly Shell Rock Tourney this weekend. Should be a good matchup. Glendwood beat Carroll Keumper 2-1 I believe, and Spencer beat them 5-1 so it will be a good match hopefully, barring any weather problems.

Glenwood seems to be a very good team. They have had some stellar teams in the past. It is still early but it seems like Spenser is doing a great job up there in northern iowa. would love to see them play.

Glenwood has not played Carroll Kuemper, they play them May 9th.

Here is Glenwood season:
Beat Davenport Assumption 7-1
Beat Xavier 3-2
Beat Thomas Jefferson Council Bluffs 7-0
Beat Lewis Central Council Bluffs 4-0
Beat Atlantic 7-1
Beat Creston 6-1
Beat Harlan 4-2
Beat St. Alberts 2-1
Lost to Sioux City North 0-1

Looks like G'wood is scoring plenty of goals. Also appears as if they are letting in a few too many in the blow out games. Any reason for that?

Who is in the goal this year?

"Glenwood has not played Carroll Kuemper"

I heard wrong then, my bad. :) Either way it should be a good game. I know the spencer players are prepping and looking forward to it. Hopefully Glenwood doesn't overlook a tough Spencer team.

The key to the Dowling Catholic game is Scott Waggonner....the kid is a goal scoring machine. He already has 19 goals (in 8 games) and is already closing in on the Dowling school record of 21.

Both Glenwood and Spencer fell to Decorah at the Waverly tournament by scores of 2-0 and 1-0, the second ending in a penalty shootout.
