Thought this would be neat to share with everyone since not everyone follows along with the NCAA Division III level: through seven games, Coe College is 7-0 and ranked in the top 25 of both DIII polls and are led by former Kennedy Cougar Trevor Heitland. Heitland, who redshirted his first year at Iowa Central, transferred to Coe in the spring semester of 2013 and has been a four-year starter for the Kohawks. Heitland is having a monster season and not only does he lead the Iowa Conference in rushing and all-purposes by a large margin, he also is the DIII rushing leader and all-purpose yardage leader. Through seven contests, he's rushed 180 times for 1147 yards and nine touchdowns and also caught 23 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns.

Pretty neat to see an Iowa boy excelling no matter what level of play, Heitland is just a gamer. Proved to be durable in Coe's latest win over previously ranked University of Dubuque as he finished with 51 carries for 216 yards. If you don't like the hustle and bustle of Iowa City, Ames or Cedar Falls on game day, check out a Coe College game. Up-tempo, high octane offense that still manages to just smack you in the mouth.
