IowaPreps.com Football Rankings - September 14th

Thunder,

I wasn't mocking the commandment. St Ed very much is bearing "Falsies" regarding last year's 0-35 loss to ICR which they have failed to report in Quick Stats.

When you open Quick Stats for 2013 Football on the front page it lists the teams by record. There are 7 teams listed at the top as unbeaten. 6 are state champs. 1 is not....nor are they undefeated...nor should they be listed among the teams which are undefeated champs.

By lying (through omission) St Eds not only took a dump on last year's champs, they pinched one off on: the state runners up, anyone else whose only loss was in the playoffs, and every else who reported their final game of the year even if it was a loss.

Am I breaking the commandment too by perpetuating St Eds lie? Probably so....but than again....I'm no Holy Ghost.

I don't want to get into the lie vs. withholding information debate, but it is a direct violation of the IAHSAA rule book to not post the game on quikstats.

Cardinal,

There were 26 teams head into the playoffs unbeaten last year. 6 remained unbeaten and became champions while 20 suffered a season ending loss short of a title. Of those 20 previously unbeaten teams only 1 failed to report their loss and stats to QuickStats. Hats off to the 19 that did.

I would hope the IAHSAA sticks to their rules and tells the one team that blew this rule off that they have a little unfinished business to take care of from last year before they would be eligible for playoffs this year.

I wasn't mocking the commandment. (Well considering I said you were mocking St. Eds................) St Ed very much is bearing "Falsies" regarding last year's 0-35 loss to ICR which they have failed to report in Quick Stats. (I've been asked not to reply to this other than to tell you, you're wrong.)

(I'm sorry this bothers you.)

By lying (through omission) (no.) St Eds not only took a dump on last year's champs (no they didn't), they pinched one off on: the state runners up, anyone else whose only loss was in the playoffs, and every else who reported their final game of the year even if it was a loss. (Well don't stop there. Surely you were going to explain why all these teams have been wronged. Wade, and all the other people smart enough to know how you operate, are anxious to see what you have to say.)

Am I breaking the commandment too by perpetuating St Eds lie? Probably so....but than again....I'm no Holy Ghost. (I appreciate that you can be honest about trolling. I respect that. And to deny that in your reply would only "perpetuate" that fact (you being a master-level troll; see the Manson billboard thread for reference in case you're actually going to deny it in your next reply). Have a nice day.

You know...another thing I was thinking about, which isn't really that big of a deal to me, personally, but I'd still like to know for posterity purposes and what not........................

Why did you wait 5 days to respond? I know you saw my replies the day I wrote them. Did it honestly take you 5 days to come up with a response? How much of an issue is it to you, really, that you'd wait 5 days before rehashing this topic?

Remember what I said about you and spook enjoying your fair share of pot-stirring? You aren't bored are you? A man your age, that can't be good.

Btw, just in case you'd like to avoid answering, I'll pre-empt the potential weakly-contemplated response of how "I waited until now" to reply to your most recent comments because it would be like you to say that in your reply at some point without responding to anything else I said.

My point was that you could've let it go since it had been 5 days, but you chose not to. I find that interesting, especially considering I don't really know how much you actually care about this particular issue (much like the Manson billboard thread).

Thunder,

5 day response? Let's just say I have a very unique work schedule. Since you feel the need to monitor my time I'll start checking in and out with you. Ok....I'm leaving at 700 this morning and I won't be back or have access to the internet until at least Wednesday around 2200. I sure would love a 9 to 5 job with weekends off BUT that's not going to happen.

Trolling on the Manson NWW billboard issue? Hardly. I have taxable interests in the Fort Dodge School District. If you need help comprehending that statement I can get back to you next Thursday or Friday with a further explanation.

Why should I care if St Eds feels they do not have to follow the rules and enter their stats in quickstats for a game they lost? Easy. If there are rules they are for a reason and should be followed. It doesn't matter what kind of rule it is..if you don't enforce it....few will follow it. What percentage of the people drive 55 mph where that is the posted speed limit?

I'd love to chat but since you are concerned about my time I'll share with you I need to SSS before heading to work. (Just so you are clear what is mockery.....that is mockery).

This is the most I've learned about you in roughly 4 years.

(so...watch dog. Got it.) It doesn't matter what kind of rule it is..if you don't enforce it....few will follow it. (It's been 10 months.....think about that.) What percentage of the people drive 55 mph where that is the posted speed limit? (What is greater than zero percent?)

Btw, ghost, I'll leave you with this thought. How many schools in all sports didn't report all their games just at the end of the past year alone (obviously you wonder why....)? If you had done your research, then that would make one question what your motive would be to call out one school. If you had not, then that would just make you ignorant for not even having all the facts beforehand........................just sayin.

Me pot stir? You can look into the mirror for that Alex. I have not had one comment to this post till now when you bring my name up. . Hence you are the one trying to stir the pot.

Regina WILL beat Xavier. You heard it here first. They just had a crappy game the first week of the year, and that's the only reason they lost to 3A Solon. They got things figured out now, and they very well could be the best overall team in the state, not to mention the best team in 1A.

PS- One of Regina's stud lineman is coming back from suspension, next week I believe. 350 lbs+ bench press hoss. Look for him to be a tank on the line.

yep. that's the kid that lives with another family inside the Regina family. not with parents. other than that, he's 100% legal to play HS football. Nothing like a good old school recruiting job. Win or lose at least the Ridge does things the right way.

I don't want to get into this quikstats argument at all but I've had some experience with it in the past and fwiw I believe it locks the day after the last game of the season so you can't retroactively edit stats. Just thought I'd add that.

Yeah Go Eagle, it's common knowledge that Regina doesn't do things the right way.Weak ass way to argue your point. This dribble is tiring.

regardless of the validity in this statement, that is bush league.

if you are going to post here, keep your punches above the beltline.

He's not nearly tall enough for that. I can't help but think maybe he suffers from little man syndrome.
