They are a nice team, but no where close to Pella

I'd agree, not good to win it all, but a nice story either way. This is definitely not your Independence team of the past as they haven't been to the playoffs in 30 years.

No doubt they are pretty excited in town. Beating Decorah for the first time in forever is something big. The true test is their game in a few weeks vs West Delaware and then another tough one vs Maquoketa. Another two teams I doubt Independence has won against very often (if at all) over the past 30 years).

Indee actually beat both West Delaware and Maquoketa last year.

Independence played Washington in the first round last year.

I think Crestwood will give them a real test this week.

West Delaware did not have an easy time with Crestwood last Friday, so it will be interesting to see how Indee-Crestwood turns out.

Indee handled Crestwood, pretty easily... Jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back
