If you are a player with high draft potential. But opting out at halftime? What a chickenshit move by Cam Ward at Miami. Just flat out quit in his team at halftime. I’m sure some team will draft him, but he wouldn’t play for me.

Probably not, but being a student-athlete is still the "foundation" until it's officially not.
If you earn >$x you should be exempt from classes. They can always take their earnings and pay for an education after their football days are over.
