Northwood kensett. Also think Don Bosco will not live up to their hype. They are not a state championship contending team. They are mediocre at best. Think that will be the "biggest" surprise to most

While I agree that NK is going to be a very good team this season...I have to wonder...were you one of the doubters who didn't think DB could win a state title? Oh...and what hype are you speaking of? I am not saying they won't have some hurdles to overcome this season, replacing Jake Hogan is going to be a daunting task...but...I am going to go on record as saying...DB is my surprise team. I believe they will find a way to get back to the Dome this season.

DB will live up to the hype only because they play on the Eastern side of the state. They will at least make quarters possibly semis only because the eastern half there isn't as many quality teams as there is in the western side. The east has come a long ways the last few years but overall they aren't on the same level as far as depth as what the west is right now.

Last season Don Bosco did surprise me when they won the title. But the two seasons are different. They just dont have that one special player that had in hogan. In all honesty they should not have beat Exira in the finals last season. Exira looked like they should have been dominating that ball game. But Hogan did his magic and led Bosco to the title. maybe they will surprise me a little bit this season.. and hopefully they do but until they prove me wrong I will continue to be skeptical. good luck to all this season. Should be another fun year

No offense, but I would be absolutely flabbergasted if Cedar Valley Christian won a game this season. VERY low on numbers and are still relatively new to the game of football.

I would have to say East Mills. I think most people are not giving them enough respect. And people are forgetting about the success that the majority of schools have when switching from 11 man to 8 man. (notice I did not say "dropping down". Football is Football.) Sure they lost a few player from last year. But the elimination of 3 positions will be a positive for them. They won't have to worry about replacing those players.

This year CVC has around twenty players on the roster. In the off season, for the first time, they participated in a seven on
seven passing league and gained alot of good experience against some talented teams. Did not win any games but continually improved and moved the ball and scored. Will they make the playoffs? No. But I think they have a good chance of picking up their first football victory this season.
