Wife Beater is a dead man walking. LSU athletic director, Scott Woodward, had a very long private conversation with Cookie Monster about the confrontation with UCLA fan. There were concerns that he is drinking again but not anymore. If he keeps drinking and slipping up off field, they may try their chances at firing with cause. So as far as LSU is concerned, they hope he keeps getting drunk every night. The cheapskates would rather be embarrassed by their head coach as long as they can save a few dollars.
